    Welcome to the historic Criders General Store and Post Office. This property was once the hub for all activity in the little mountain hamlet of Criders, situated in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. The property has been amazingly and lovingly restored, but you can still see and feel the history and original character when you walk into this property. The general store property is 5,026 total square feet, and there are 6 proper bedrooms, but another room could easily be the 7th bedroom or an office even (although there are two other rooms which could also be offices). There are 5 conventional bedrooms in the property and the other two are more loft or studio style. The master bedroom is very large and includes room for a sitting area. It has private access connecting to the master very large master bathroom with a double sink vanity. The kitchen and living room areas are in the old general store portion of the property and you can still see/use the original wooden shelves on which the merchandise use to sit. There are two full bathrooms, one upstairs for use with the master bedroom which has an enormous walk-in jacuzzi/shower/tub combination. The upstairs bathroom has a large Jacuzzi/hot tub feature on it. It is indoors and only seats two people though. And then there is another full bathroom downstairs with a new claw-foot tub (no shower yet). The upstairs bathroom is currently only usable for the master bedroom (when the master is occupied since it is only blocked off from the master by a curtain)... Of course if no one is in the master at any given time, then the master bathroom can be used by others without any issue. There are even two different staircases to get upstairs. The post office is still operating and is located in the front of this building (the bottom right corner as you look at the front of the building), but is only in use between the hours of 10 am and 12 noon (Monday through Friday) and 8:45 to noon on Saturday), but it is not accessible from the rest of the property, so you will have the whole property/house to yourself. You may hear the old fashion phone ring from the post office through wall and people may come to check their PO boxes, but this is a super small, very rural post office which gets very little foot traffic. The German River is right across the road and on the property which is almost 6 total acres (most of which is riverfront property) and you'll have access to fish several hundred yards of the German River from this land (fishing license required). The river is also deep enough in a few spots to swim on those warm summer days and the swimming hole is only a 60 second walk from the General Store/living area. There is one fire pit just off the side porch of the house... and then there is another smaller one over by the river. High speed internet and cable is available. There are washer and dryer connections both upstairs and downstairs if you need two washers and dryers. Pets are welcome, but there is monthly pet rent and pet deposit required.
