This apartment, across the street from the Sound, has just been remodeled and has a brand new kitchenette, bathroom, living room and bedroom. There is a private entrance, backyard and a laundry shared with the upstairs rental. The neighborhood is quiet and those who live in the area tend to also work in OBX with a few vacation homes scattered about. The unit is close to grocery shopping (and the Target currently being built). The rental comes with a pass for private parking next to Avalon Pier. The upstairs is rented by a couple with a young child, but the owners, who currently live in Utah, will be moving in upstairs permanently in two years. The rent includes all utilities (water, electric, and quarterly pest control spraying) and also includes 1gb shared wi-fi between the two rental units. There is no smoking and no pets. The lease requires the first month's rent and a security deposit of $1000 be paid before occupancy. The lease provides enough parking in the driveway for regular-sized vehicles, end-to-end, and there is no off street parking. Although the apartment is in Flood Zone X it has been known to flood during hurricanes the renter must show proof of renter's insurance within 30 days of occupancy. The lease is for one year, and renewable at a continued yearly basis. The renter is responsible for maintaining the premises in the same condition in which they find it upon entering the lease. Other than the hanging of pictures, any holes in the wall, painting, etc., needs prior approval of the landlord.
