This 1-bed 1-bath apartment is 1 of 4 separate units in a house in Old Town! It will be a sublease Jan. 1st-May 31st with option to renew. Apartment #2 is located at the front of the house, so the house's front door is your front door! (which is very convenient for mail/food/etc. delivery). It is a 5 min. WALK to old town square and all of the downtown shops, but just far enough away that you still always have a close parking space at home and avoid all the noise. I have lived here for 3.5 years and love it. I am moving to Texas to live with my boyfriend or I wouldn't see myself wanting to move unless to buy a place. You will not beat the price for an apartment in Old Town, especially one this nice. $1,000 includes everything (gas, water, trash, lawn care, snow shoveling) except electric, which only runs about $17-$23/mo. throughout the year (heat is gas!). In a neighborhood of all houses, it feels much more like living in a house than a standard apartment. Not only is it NOT in a big block, or building, of apartments (you don't have to walk down stairs or a hallway every time to get outside- which can suck if you have a dog), this unit's front door opens out onto a big lawn surrounded by trees. There is also a large side yard that is super nice if you have a dog. The front door and front bedroom window are made of beautiful stained glass The front entryway has linoleum so you don't have to worry about getting the carpet dirty, the kitchen has pretty, real-wood flooring, and the front room/living room and bedroom both have carpet. The front room has high ceilings and a lot of windows, so it is full of light (so is the bedroom). The front room also has really pretty, wooden, built-in shelving and drawer units. I don't love living alone, but also don't love having roommates, and this apartment was the perfect place for me. Being surrounded by 3 other tenants made me feel 100% safe, and the apartments all have their own separate entrance and have a nice private feel to them. The apartment is located across the street from the downtown library, which is quaint and fun, and especially convenient during covid. The library is surrounded by a large park. The north side (right across the street from you) is a big sprawling lawn that stretches a full block, and the south side has a playground. There is a sidewalk bordering all 4 sides, which is another huge bonus if you have a dog you enjoy taking on walks. Can you tell how much I love this apartment?! Shoot me a TEXT if you want to come see it for yourself! (NO CALLS, PLS! I don't pick up any #s i don't know and won't get to vmails in order, if at all). Must have min. credit score of 500. Actually the best rental company I've had in 15 years of renting history- professional, reasonable, quick response to maintenance requests. Will start showing this Sunday!
