Great location close to post office and grocery store (WALKING DISTANCE) as well as middle and high schools. Appraised at $125,000 six years ago when my mother moved to Columbia but her 5 year tenant has left the interior in distress as you can see from the photos. It needs new carpet and paint some places. Or you could pull up the carpet and have the floors refinished. Although everything was working when they moved out and you "could" move in without doing anything the heating and air unit is old and will probably need replacement soon. Hence the $62,000 "as is" price. The brick exterior is excellent with a new roof 4 years ago and recently (this year) painted wood trim. It will be a bargain for someone who wants to make the interior exactly like they want it. Zillow's Zestimate is twice what I am asking so you should be able to get everything exactly the way you want it and still have less invested than Zillow's estimate. Also, if you look at the $1535 "taxes" shown for the last few years you as an owner occupant will not have to pay anywhere near that much. Look further and you will see what my mother was paying 6 years ago. That's because a non resident owner doesn't get any exemption and is taxed at 6% instead of 4% so your taxes will be a "lot" less than what I pay as a non-resident owner.
