But we are looking forward to a new family making their life long memories here. **During an inspection that was done by a local inspection company, they reported that there was “rot” in the attic which was not found in the process of repairing the roof. The dark wood in the attic is wood that had been recycled from another home and used in this home when it was built. "Soft spots" on the roof were reported in the inspection, and the suggested repair was for the OSB to be removed and replaced on the roof of the house to fix “soft spots” on the roof. In the process of this repair, we found that the OSB was not soft in the areas of concerned “soft spots”. The material used to alter the pitch of the roof caused the metal to sag when walked on. The OSB only showed water in one area of the roof and the affected OSB was removed and replaced. Correct valley flashing was installed to prevent any further issues.
