A perfect spot to work from home or commute, it has fast access to Kulamalu Center (Mahalo Aleworks, Long's Drugs, and the upcountry Farmers' Market and Food Truck Park), Pukalani Terrace Center (think Kalei's Lunchbox and THE Foodland with THE best poke, as well as standards such as Starbucks and Ace Hardware), and is a short drive to historic Makawao Town. The neighborhood is surrounded by spectacular lavender, protea and persimmon farms as well as small, old-style business such as Morihara Store, Grandma's Coffee House (great breakfast) and the historic Calasa Garage that give the neighborhood a distinctly warm upcountry sensibility.
