THIS HOME WAS BUILT BY MY GREAT GRANDFATHER EDGAR SCUDDER! HELEN SCUDDER, HIS WIFE, WAS A CLAM CHOWDER CHEF, A SCOTCH BAKER AND JELLY JAR WOMAN OF THE EAST COAST! people came from miles around to see The Bird Man they called Eg! EVERYONE SAT IN THE YARD AROUND THE OLD GREEN PICNIC TABLE FOR CLAM CHOWDER AND THEN BREAD AND JAM. STEAMED CLAMS ON THE HALF SHELL. All the men drank Scotch whiskey and women and children got beer! My grear grandmother sat in the dining room and read her daily bible verses cuz we went to the Presbyterian Church in Huntington Ny. And Eg would stay home to watch the NY Mets play ball That is an awesome house and anyone who steps foot on that property will have the luck of the birds and green apples!
