She originally emigrated to America in 1890 and worked as a domestic and cook in Springfield, Massachusetts.<br>She boarded the Titanic at Queenstown as a third class passenger (ticket number 368364, £7 15s). She was a housekeeper and resided with the Asley Family who where the second owners of Talcott Mather House. Janie Carr died at sea and her body was never recovered.<br><br>Federal Colonial built 1840, completely renovated.
