Dreamy one-room cabin for rent close to the small town of Appleton. If you want to be away from it all, but close to kite-boarding, windsurfing, hiking, and all things nature, this is your place! The cabin is located on a quiet, wooded 13-acre piece of property in the hills above Lyle, WA, about a 15 minute drive from the Columbia River and 30 minutes from lively, lovely Hood River and its many attractions (coffee shops, many dining options, breweries, boutiques, fruit orchards etc.). The cabin has a loft sleeping area and a beautiful deck amidst the trees. It has a small kitchen area with a two-burner stove and refrigerator. The tiny house has electricity and heat but no running water. There is a composting toilet and wash station outside the cabin. Renters have access to a shower that is part of the main house and is accessible without entering the main house. It is just a few steps from the cabin to the shower. We live in the main house part-time. There is also a yurt on the property but there is plenty of room for privacy. There is a chicken coop and a stable for goats. We don't have chickens or goats yet, but hope to get them come spring. A love of animals is a plus! Monthly rent: $575 (includes utilities) Option of renting furnished or unfurnished.
