The Justus Welles Griswold House, Circa 1799. Prior to its current owners, this exceptional property had been owned by only the Griswold family. Located in the heart of Griswoldville, it was the original farmhouse and generations of the Griswold/Willard family. They also developed and owned the nationally renowned Comstock Ferre Seed Company, the first known seed company in America. Evidence suggests this brick structure was built in the early 1800s in the Federal Style as a "center hall" Colonial.
