One of Wolfville's oldest homes: "Annandale" was built in 1794 by Daniel DeWolfe, son of Planter Jehiel DeWolfe, where he and his wife Mary Anne Pryor (Sister of Acadia University's first President, John Pryor) raised 16 children! Lewis Johnston (physician) purchased the home in 1812 and named it Annandale after his family estate in the valley of the Annan River in Scotland.
