This is a gorgeous home that offers unmatched beauty and serenity for the area. Located just 15 minutes north of town on gravel roads — there is essentially zero traffic by the house due to its location, you’ll only see the postman and the neighbors driving by during the day. Thoroughly private property that truly is a dream come true.
Trails are carved through the woods for peaceful walks, hunting, ATV rides. Incredible place to stargaze; in fact the local university has an observatory in the neighboring cornfield.
There is a large pole barn in the backyard, fire pit area, detached (heated) 2 car garage with attached sheds. This would be an excellent property for a homestead.
This is a fantastic residence for anyone looking to raise a family, work remotely, vacation, or retire. Your imagination will run wild as you walk around both the house and the land — the world here is truly your oyster.
Multiple new appliances, new water heater, furnace and boiler were replaced in 2019 and 2021 respectively, attic was just re-insulated with 30” of rodent-proof insulation in 2024.
There are some minor things I would address on the house such as re-staining the deck and siding but as for the bones of the house — it’s in excellent shape.
While I do love the house, what I find most appealing about this residence is the location. It’s quite special. No matter who you are, it’s impossible not to be romantic about this place.
