Second Mine Run is 1/2 mile to North in deep wooded valley, Little Gunpowder Falls 2 miles south in White Hall. The closest grocery store, gas station, library etc is in Hereford 10 miles away, over 2 steep hills: it is possible to get snowed in up here, with only rain in Towson: it's The Hereford Zone!!. Autumn is awesome out here; and the sky from the hilltop is like a planetarium. The neighbors pretty much keep to themselves, unless you invite them in.
