    Neat brick rancher with basement on 7.5 acres. Home is in great condition although most buyers would want to do some updating due to the home still feeling like the 70's when you walk in the front door. The green carpet, the gold vinyl, it is present in this home. The condition of it is amazing....like you stepped back in time and walked into a brand new home! The appliances are spotless! The living room is good sized and the closets are better than average size for when this home was built. Constructed by a local builder and the floors are as level as I have ever seen. This home isn't going anywhere. There is main level carport plus a basement garage with a separate driveway. The roof and gutters are maybe 4 years old, the windows are double pane glass and the house has a heat pump for heat/air. Everything is electric. The 7.5 acres is primarily field. There are several potential building sites on it, or just bring the horses and have you a little farm. There are two old barn structures on the property. Neither look usable, but the wood could definitely be put to good use. The home's water comes from a good well with a softener system. If you would like county water, it is available at the road. If you like to fish or hunt, this would be ideal. There are plenty of deer and wild turkey and the French Broad River is just a couple miles down the road. This home is located on a paved road and there are no steep hills to climb. Easy access year around. Definitely has a country feel, but you are really only about 15 min from downtown Newport and I-40 is about 20 min. You can get to Douglas Lake by floating down the French Broad, or if you prefer to drive it is maybe 15 min.
