Our condo was built from the ground up in 2004; it is not a rehab. The builder spared no expense in making this a unique home. He installed today's standard of stainless steel appliances and hardwood floors throughout, but he also installed a beautiful spiral staircase, and a gorgeous gas fireplace. The BR's are very large and each has a large closet. Off the master is a large juliet balcony where we sit at the end of the day and relax if we don't want to go up to the roof. The roof deck is very large and can accommodate a BBQ, a table and at least 10 people comfortably. If you like the beach, there are 2 public beaches within a 1/2 mile that are an easy walk. If you're interested in going in to Fanueil Hall or shopping on Newbury Street, the Red Line is 1/8th of a mile away. If you work in the Financial District, it's just 3 stops on the Red Line to South Station which is in the heart of the Financial District. Neighborhood Description We are going to miss our neighbors. The homes around us are owner occupied with residents who are interested in the community. We recently banded together on a resident parking petition and, as a result, the City of Boston is making Sydney Street resident parking only in July, 2008. Our zip code, 02125, is the safest zip code in all of Boston. Yes, in ALL of Boston. Safer than the swank Newbury Street. Safer than the tony Beacon Hill. There are several schools and churches within a mile of our home. Ours is a very tight knit community, with some people having lived in the neighborhood for all of their lives. New residents are always welcome to the Community Meetings, parties, schools and churches.
