    THIS IS A WINTER RENTAL for a 6-7 months (you choose) -- Oct 1 2019 thru March 31 or April 30, 2020 Orleans is a small, seaside Massachusetts town facing the Atlantic Ocean to the East and Cape Cod Bay to the West. Our house is 2 miles from the famous public Nauset Beach and 3.5 miles from the lovely, family-friendly public Skaket beach on Cape Cod bay. Within 15 min. walk to three quality restaurants, a salt-water marina, a quality small market (food, wine, beer, butcher, deli) and10 minute drive to 2 boat-launch town landings. For cyclists and hikers there are dozens of pathways to the sea, the Bay and inland conservation lands. Artists will find landscapes, seascapes and visual inspiration in abundance here. Our house is the combination of a cozy classic Cape cottage (small guest bedroom, very small bathroom with shower, living room with working fireplace, small office/computer room) plus a newer addition with the kitchen, dining area, first floor bedroom, and second floor sleeping loft with full-size master bathroom. We will return to the Cape in early May 2020. We will leave adequate space in closets and dressers. The new washer and dryer units are in the basement which has a small amount of storage space left. We are a dog and cat-loving house so dogs and cats are welcome, with careful vigilance, as any good pet owner would do in their own house. Orleans has many Conservation areas with access to salt and fresh water for lots of recreation choices and active dog walks. With plenty of nearby beaches and boat landings, and a quiet road here in East Orleans, it is an ideal location for peaceful living and/or active lifestyles. We are looking for responsible renters with good credit and solid references to enjoy our home while we are away.
