Large, furnished, private, bedroom and shared bathroom for rent in Kensington. Kensington is in the east bay hills adjacent to Tilden Park and the North Berkeley Hills/ Thousand Oaks neighborhoods. It is a fairly short bus ride to campus, which is about 4.5 miles away. Some of our tenants enjoy biking to and from campus but it is a rather steep pull home, though you can put your bike on the bus for the return trip. Kensington is an extremely nice, safe, and quite neighborhood with small grocery stores, shops, and restaurants located in two places about a 5-10 minute walk from the house, Colusa Circle and Kensington Village. The well-lit room is located downstairs in this two story, single-family 2100 sf house. You will share an upstairs bathroom with one other person (a Man). The room has a private side entrance. It has a double sized hide-away (Murphy) bed, and a nice corner desk for you to study at. We also have a nice backyard and upper deck with bay views, which is a nice place to read and relax outside. Use of the washing machine and dryer is also included. We share the kitchen. We have three dogs. They are very nice and friendly, but if you are afraid of dogs, this is not the place for you. We are looking to share our house with a polite, respectful, reasonably quite person who knows how to clean up after themselves and be a respectful guest. No smoking and no drugs will be tolerated. No incense either please. An occasional guest of yours, will be OK but this is a place for one person who wants a safe, quite place to live and study.
