Located 10-12 minutes from Athens' east side grocery stores and restaurants, this charming home provides both countryside seclusion and convenience to city amenities. The vintage cottage was moved to the country in 1995 from Athens' normal town district. At its new rural location - a 12 acre mostly wooded property where the owner resides in an historic 1820s home - the cottage was fully renovated with all new wiring, plumbing, and CHAC heat pump. A clever floor plan, with abundant windows and open counter between living room and kitchen, creates a spacious feel to the cozy (800 square ft) indoor space. Meanwhile the large screened porch addition (c. 600 square feet) provides comfortable and relaxing living during three seasons of the year (if not more depending on our Georgia winter).
