Full home remodel nearing completion! We started our remodeling adventure with living here forever in mind so we really went all out on materials. The house is 2656 square feet, 5 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms with 600+/- square foot kitchen and family rooms. Plenty of room for big family holidays and get togethers. Kitchen was remodeled in 2011, with all new cabinets providing ample storage, including closed pantries on either side of the fridge with more cabinets above. Natural Brazilian slate stone floors, counter tops, and back splash. Granite composite double sink with garbage disposal, new stainless dishwasher, full size double wall ovens (of which one is a kitchenaid convection oven with built in meat thermometer and lots of other neat features), smooth cook top set in the island complete with pot filler, and more storage underneath. Miles of counter space to work on! Guest bathroom was remodeled Nov. 2013. Completely gutted and now boasts all new plumbing, blue board, cement backer, bath tub, custom tiled shower surround, tiled floor, new smooth sided toilet, pedestal sink, recessed lighting through to shower, separate light fixture over sink, and all matching oil rubbed bronze Moen fixtures. All new duct work for both central heat and air units, one on each end of the house. Units are 5 and 3 years old. Living room remodel was done Feb. 2014. This room was gutted as well, and now has all new electrical wiring (this is the original part of the house), drywall, recessed lighting, as well as additional lighting in ceiling fan, crown and baseboard. There is also a brick wood burning fireplace with brick hearth, and is fitted with a brass trimmed "blower" that is absolutely wonderful at keeping hot popping embers in, while dispersing heating more efficiently and safely throughout the house. Not far from the pond towards the tree line and road is set up for a mobile home or 2nd home site, with it's own septic system, water (community or well, main house is on a well but can be switched to community water) Roughly half the property has been fenced for livestock or horses in the last 3 years. Still some crown molding and base board to put in, but won't be done until the last room (Master BR) has been remodeled, and new carpet is installed in each bedroom.
