They fell in love with the house the minute they walked inside. And as the years passed, their love only grew. Mornings almost always started with a steaming cup of coffee in the living room, admiring the unbelievable view of the San Gabriel Mountains. And they were thrilled to discover their little pocket is made up of friendly, diverse, and considerate neighbors who often exchange gifts of homemade cookies or bottles of wine during the holidays. Perched high atop San Rafael Hills, 185 Sequoia was their retreat from the hustle and bustle. Not many folks have reason to drive on the street, so things are quiet and peaceful. But, it's just a short car ride down to the lovely cafes in Eagle Rock and Old Town Pasadena. When feeling jaunty, they would walk. They loved how each season brings its own delights. Monarch butterflies flutter along the front yard plants in the summer while hummingbirds are present in the backyard year round. It's a private oasis back there with fruit trees lining the upper terrace area, offering a bounty of delicious apples (great for baking in the oven during winter!), oranges, limes, figs, and tangerines. With such a beautiful home, entertaining was frequent and fabulous. Cocktails and canapes on the backyard deck easily transitioned to dinner with great wine and even better conversation inside. And the views... Oh, those views...
