Trigg Ranch The Trigg Ranch is a working cattle ranch in northwestern South Dakota. Comprised of 3,382 acres the ranch is watered by an artesian well and an extensive pipeline system providing fresh water throughout all pastures. Huge, deep canyons drop down to the well timbered river bottoms along the Belle Fourche River. Trophy mule and whitetail deer are abundant as well as most species of wildlife. The historical significance of the ranch is evident by teepee rings still visible, that were left by the Teton Lakota Sioux who hunted buffalo on the plains and camped along the ridges overlooking the rivers and canyons many years ago.
