Lake Forest Cabin is nestled in the woods in the lay of nature and is a welcome place to escape! The atmosphere will transport you out of the everyday hustle and bustle, into a relaxing get away. Imagine yourself, sitting in a rocking chair on the screened in porch, sipping your morning coffee or tea, listening to the cry of the loons. All the while, snuggled up with a warm quilt as you breathe in the crisp, clean morning air. In the evenings you can sit around the fire pit, listening to the crackling embers and gazing up at the stars. Grab a stick and enjoy roasting a hotdog or two and indulge in some smore's. Or take a walk down to the water as the sun sets, maybe catch a glimpse of the loons as they peek there heads in and out of the water, and listen to the peepers. By day you can go on beautiful nature walks, bike, run, explore, or head straight to the water! Rainy day blues? Enjoy the comforts of the cabin, relaxing on a soft couch, snuggled up while watching a movie (DVD/VHS), play a board game, read a book, do a puzzle, cook that meal you always wanted to try, rest or take a nap in a comfortable bed, that's right, take a nap! You'll be amazed at how rejuvenating this location can be. The living room area is great for gathering with your loved ones, telling old stories, listening to music, you name it! Want to see more of Maine or just itching to get out and explore? Naples is only miles away, a tourist hotspot, offering lots of eateries, shopping, nightlife, water rentals, ice cream parlors, and much more. Sebago Lake Resort nearby, has an amazing golf course, one of two golf courses at your convenience, it also has a beautiful beach and swimming area. If you visit in the fall, you will be surrounded by the most brilliant colors as the foliage in Maine is breathtaking. People travel from all over, just to drive around and experience the foliage season. Winter months you have Shawnee Peak Ski Resort just around the corner! You will be in the heart of it all. This modest cabin is set back across the street from Highland Lake, with a right away to the lake. The path leads down to a private dock and mooring. There are three bedrooms. The first one is on the ground floor, called the "bunk room", which holds two sets of bunk beds (four twin beds stacked), and has a full bathroom. The second bedroom is also on the ground floor and holds a queen size bed and has a second full bathroom. The third bedroom is upstairs and holds a queen size bed beneath sky light windows, and a chase lounge couch for relaxing or for additional sleep space for a child. There is a third full bathroom upstairs, which is also equipped with a washer and dryer. All rooms are equipped with ceiling fans, and with additional floor fans. There is a full living room with a couch and two lounge chairs, and there is a screened in porch off the back. The porch has chairs, table, and spectacular views. The kitchen has a table with four chairs, and offers a refrigerator, electric stove/range, microwave, coffee pot, toaster, blender, basic dishes, utensils, pots and pans, and silverware. Fully furnished winter rental. 6 month lease. Move in as early as October 15th. Move out required no later than April 30. Tenant pays all utilities, including electricity, electric heat. There is a wood stove for supplemental heating. Internet is the tenants responsibility. Tenants will be responsible for taking the garbage to the local transfer station or setting up pick up services. Tenants are responsible for all shoveling and plowing of driveway and walkways. The main road is plowed by the association. There is some cut wood available on site that you are welcome to use, you must purchase any additional wood you might need to get you through the season. You would need approximately two cords to supplement your electric heat for the whole winter. We do not reimburse or buy back left over wood. You may not cut down any trees from the property for heating or burning. We require first, last, and security deposit up front at lease signing.
