I will not be living in the apartment, as you, the “roommate” will take over the lease. Per the apartment complex, we will both sign over a release of my financial responsibility and your signature to take full responsibility of the lease agreement. Lease Requirements: You will need to apply with the apartment complex. Provide a valid ID. You will be screened by the Apartment Management. Your income will have to meet 3x the rent requirement. Once you are approved, they will have both of us sign a Roommate Amendment Document releasing me from responsibility.
