Twenty-five minutes walk in the opposite direction is the Cleveland Park metro on the red line, and its shopping and dining district. Cross-town buses pick up on the corner a block away! Wonderful restaurants and music venues, groceries, shops, dry cleaner's, and farmer's market are a block away on Mt. Pleasant Street; major supermarkets and a hardware store are a 15 minute walk. In the other direction, the neighborhood abuts the National Zoo (a few minutes' walk away) as well as Rock Creek Park with its running, biking and hiking trails.
