SHORT TERM RENTAL--December 20th through June, 2016. Our house is on the west side of Alameda; within a mile radius you'll find parks, libraries, restaurants, supermarkets, a twice-weekly farmers' market, the Pacific Pin Ball Museum and Alameda's Crown Beach. Our home has a large, grassy lawn and garden with raised beds plus plum, lemon, and mandarin trees. There are four bedrooms, two full baths, an eat-in kitchen and full dining room. The large living room has a wood-stove fireplace. There is an office (with upright piano) and washer and dryer in the basement. We enjoy the small town advantages and appreciate the proximity to San Francisco, Oakland and Berkeley. We are three blocks from the commuter bus to San Francisco (a twenty-minute ride)and it is a 20 minute drive to UC Berkeley. There is ferry service to San Francisco and we are five minutes from the nearest BART station.
