They don't build them like this anymore. This house is well built by craftsmen who took their time. Plastered walls, hard wood floors, fir floor joists. The home is tight. The ceiling is insulated with about 12" of insulation, but there is none in the walls. Even so, we enjoy a warm home on only about 300 gallons of oil a year!
