When we bought the home in 1998, remodeling had already been done, creating an additional full bathroom, which includes a 2 person sauna/tub. They also added-on a family room, with a fireplace and a finished basement beneath it. The basement has a large bedroom, with two sets of fire escape windows, two storage rooms and a walk-in closet. Upstairs, we have since put in French doors between the living room and dining room and vinyl windows all the way around. In addition, the previous owners had enlarged the size of the back yard by acquiring land from the railroad. The back yard now includes a large garden/grass area, a large dog run and RV or boat parking. The original furnace was replaced in 2016 with a high-efficiency furnace and moved from the crawl space to the main floor of the house. In 2017 we added solar panels and rarely have had one electric bill since. In 2020 we added an outside sprinkler system.
