    What's special

This wonderful ~3030 sf home is located just on the outskirts of town and within walking distance of BLM property right from the driveway. It has beautiful views of the mountains and valley and the views are even more stunning from a short hike up the hill or from the back yard. The home has an open floor plan with a walk out basement, four bedrooms, three bathrooms, living and dining room, wraparound deck, attached two-car garage and a storage shed. The kitchen, dining room and living room are sunny and bright and are located upstairs to provide excellent views from the large windows. The laundry room with utility sink and a storage closet is also upstairs along with the master and second bedrooms and two bathrooms. The master bedroom is carpeted and has a ceiling fan, walk-in closet, and double doors leading out onto the deck. The tiled master bath has a jetted tub and walk in shower. From the tub you have a lovely view onto the backyard and hillside. The double doors opening onto the deck from both the master bedroom and the dining room feature retractible screens to allow fresh mountain air into the house. The kitchen has an island with a gas cooktop, and as it is open to the dining room it is very suitable for entertaining. Downstairs are two bedrooms and a bath, as well as a family room, closet, and the mechanical room with storage space. A side door in the garage is equipped with a doggie door that opens to an outdoor dog kennel. Wallpaper covers the walls in the kitchen and bathrooms upstairs and one bedroom downstairs, and the remaining walls are painted sheetrock. This home has a somewhat formal look on the inside, but if your taste is more casual, most of it can be fairly easily converted with a bit of paint or different wall coverings. All appliances except the washer, dryer and small basement fridge stay with the house. The dryer connections are set up for both gas and electric. The home is very energy efficient and well insulated. It has forced air natural gas heat, along with gas fireplaces on both floors. All of the windows are covered with energy efficient Hunter Douglas honeycomb shades. The water softener is new (2010). A community well supplies water to the residents in this small subdivision. The wide asphalt semi-circular driveway provides abundant parking and easy access to the garage. The house is situated on a 1.0 acre lot with a variety of trees and shrubs such as spruce, aspen, cedar and chokecherry great for making jelly if youre into that kind of thing. The backyard has a concrete fire pit area for those evening cookouts and marshmallow roasts. Soda Springs boasts a huge variety of outdoor activities such as fishing, hunting, hiking, camping, ATV riding, golf, biking, snowmachining, and skiing cross-country here in town, and downhill within a fairly short distance. There is a reservoir nearby for swimming, boating, jetskiing, and several rivers in the vicinity offer opportunities for a leisurely float trip. Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks are within a three-hour drive, and Jackson Hole is 100 miles away. For shopping and other services of a larger town, Pocatello is a scenic 50-mile drive away.  Shown by appointment only. You can find many more photos at forsalebyowner.com.
