The soil is high in bentonite, which is high in minerals and good for animals. Ranch animals currently in the area include horses, cows and sheep. Zoning also includes an associated, rural residence, one per 40 acres, although a seasonal hunting or ranch cabin may be more appropriate. Wildlife in the area includes white-tail deer, mule deer, antelope, foxes, badgers, prairie dogs, grouse, pheasants, eagles and turkey vultures and fishing.
