Beautiful farm house on 10 acres only 20 minutes from Fort Drum. The front entrance comes in through a large sun porch which captures passive solar heat, warming it up perfectly for the shoulder seasons (spring & fall). New hardwood floors greet you as you enter the living and dining rooms. A modern kitchen with new oak cabinets and extra large kitchen window make preparing meals a joy. Lots of room for a kitchen table with beautiful afternoon direct sunlight. Flowing out of the kitchen is a laundry room which connects into a large room that can be used as a back entrance mudroom, playroom, study or fifth bedroom. This room has two doors that connect directly outside, one into the fenced in area and one to towards the driveway. Also connecting off the laundry is a steep wooden back staircase and a small room which has a sliding door. We used this small room first as an office and then as a spare bedroom (only big enough for a single bed and great when you have extra guests visiting). Upstairs you will find a brand new bathroom with a claw foot tub, granite counter tops and separate shower. The picture window facing the back of the farm helps create a spa like experience. Towards the front of the house are two large bedrooms with two closets in the master bedroom and one closet in the second bedroom. Both these bedrooms are south facing and get lots of sunlight in the winter months. Leading off the master bedroom is a hallway connecting to two smaller bedrooms towards the back of the house. They can also be reached via the back staircase. The space connecting these two rooms is large and over the years we used them as a reading room, an office, and storage space. Please note that you are responsible for snow ploughing and cutting the lawn. If you don't have the time, we can recommend locals who provide these services. Tenants are responsible for gas and electricity. This area does not offer curb side garbage collection but for a minimal fee you can contract someone to do weekly collection.
