    Spacious country home within minutes of West Brattleboro, downtown, and the highway. Beautiful sunset views, wraparound porches, and a mix of shared family cathedral space with private wing spaces. Large main floor master with ensuite bath, three bedrooms rooms and full bath upstairs, and a 600 sf separate home office with balcony over the attached garage. Backyard grilling, campfire, and garden areas, an invisible dog fence, and woodland trails to a skating pond out the back door. This home is modern and close to town but it is only for a family who is ready for country living. The driveway is long and steep, all-wheel/four wheel drive vehicles are a must, and there are plenty of tall retaining walls and porches around the house. This is not a typical suburban rental; our family loves the privacy and adventure of country living this close to town services and yours should, too! On the plus side, there are great neighbors all around in this executive neighborhood (we just can't see them as we're in the top house). Also the property is great for pets, including an invisible dog fence and solid floor finishes throughout. The fence will need new collars for your dog. The garage can only fit two small cars during a snowstorm; realistically it should be considered as one car with storage. There's plenty of parking outside. Renter will be responsible for utilities (cable/internet, heating fuel supplier, and electricity), and for requesting snowplow service (a reliable next-door neighbor has the contract). There are no town utility bills (great well, private septic, and curbside recycling/compost pickup every week). Compost and trash pickup, plus any pets you're bringing, must be managed for a wildlife-adjacent property. As long-term single family owners, we will cover mowing and property maintenance, and will maintain a separate downstairs contractor/service access and a basement garden apartment with its own door for us to use seasonally. Our family's organic farm is adjacent to this property and our goal is for this home to provide a gracious introduction to our hometown for the right tenants, ideally considering a longer term residence here but not yet able to find as special a place as this. We are going to be continuously involved in the property, and will do a thorough background and credit check through our real estate counsel. When we stay to visit our local family in the heating-season holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and maple sugaring season), we will arrange a heating contribution during those times.
