In exchange, the Live-In Property Manager(s)/Food Preparer(s) can live for free in a beautiful three-bedroom home and earn approximately $8400 per year in tax-free income. This position is ideally suited to a reliable, handy individual or couple (or small family) who can help maintain the grounds and landscape including basic systems such as HVAC, plumbing, septic, water, and propane-powered generator and oversee any contractors that are hired to remediate property damage at the facility. The individual/couple will also be expected to prepare, deliver, and record meals for one disabled resident of the facility. (The cost of the food will be covered by the facility.) In exchange, the Live-In Property Manager(s)/Food Preparer(s) will: Live for free including free rent, TV, internet & utilities in a beautiful three-bedroom, two-bath home. The home, which is within easy driving distance of Scotts Valley, Los Gatos, and Santa Cruz, is very spacious (approx. 1700 square feet) and includes a large living room and dining room, eat-in kitchen, gorgeous sunroom, and wrap-around deck/patio with a scenic view. Although the home is attached to the care facility, it is completely self-contained and has a separate entrance. Earn approximately $8,400 in income per year. This income, which is earned through In-Home Supportive Services, may be exempt from federal and state income tax through the Difficulty of Care exclusion. The Live-in Property Manager(s)/Food Preparer(s) would also have the option (but not be required) to perform work at the care facility that would be compensated, depending on the nature of the task, at $17.75-$32.00 per hour. This additional income may also be exempt from state and federal income tax.
