NOTE: WE HAVE NO MORTGAGE, HOME IS FULLY PAID FOR. Zillow value "estimate" is mostly accurate. Update September 2020 - we have added a 14x16 lean-to greenhouse on one side, plans for which were incorporated into the home design when we built it in 2014. This is used for growing and propagating carnivorous plants, orchids, and flower/vegetable seeds for our gardens. We loved the unique and charming home that was on the property (actually 2 lots totaling nearly 7 acres) when we purchased it in 1994 at a giveaway price, but we lost that home to fire in January 2014 caused by a faulty circuit breaker box in the older part of the house. We designed and have built a new home suited to our current older-couple status, including a poured-concrete front porch with a poured-concrete wheelchair ramp on the driveway side. One-story with poured-concrete front porch with custom iron railings and gates and wheelchair ramp, crawl space from 4 to 6 blocks high due to the slightly sloping ground, all new water line from road, all new underground electric and phone lines, no hallways, all door openings 36" wide, sliding pocket doors, 5 exterior doors, 16x17 foot bedroom with bump-out window seat and 2 additional full-size windows, French door at rear, beautiful front door with 2 sidelights, large hand-laid tile utility room for water heater, laundry, freezer, pantry and other storage just off hand-laid tile kitchen, hand-laid tiled foyer with hand-laid tile powder room on one side and hand-laid tile 8 foot coat closet on other side, modest hand-laid tile master bath with all-in-one molded tub/shower, walk-in closet off master bath, open floor plan for kitchen/living room/dining area, and a long 8-foot-wide room with a bump-out area with North-light oriented windows for artist studio. Home was prewired for security system and for phone/internet before drywall went up. The neighborhood is quiet with little traffic since the home is on a dead-end road that is off of a dead-end road. Neighbors are friendly and easygoing with a loose-knit Neighborhood Watch. Our home sits well back from the road with trees and brush screening it for the most part, yet one can see down the driveway to the road from the front-oriented bedroom. We have added flowering plants and shrubs, including Hydrangeas and 12 David Austin English Roses as well as staked 8-foot-high wire fencing (to keep out the deer) in back around a large vegetable garden area.
