Hi there, We are happy to announce an opening in our lovely east-side home! Move in is August 1, 2025. Located at a super walk-able, safe, and neighborhood part of the Eastside: Cross streets: 17th & Chicon Zip code: 78702 The house is a chill vibes / community-driven oasis: 4br/2.5ba built in 2004, washer/dryer, dishwasher, front porch, bike storage, gas and charcoal grills, right on the bus line, ridiculously close to the University of Texas, tons of plants, fireplace, lots of windows, and a sweet back yard with plenty of shaded space to relax. Parking is super easy, alternating on-street and off street parking. Close to restaurants, coffee shops, and community gardens. The room is 11'x12' and has two giant windows and a closet! It's a great room and is on the 2nd floor. Bathroom (shower, tub, sink with vanity) is shared. Rent is $820 per month, plus utilities, which come to ~$100/mo including internet. The property management company has a $65 application fee (boo) but on the plus side repairs happen very quickly and easily (yay). There is also a fee when we add or subtract a roommate (boo), but it means it's easy to get off the lease if needed (yay). We are all friends in our early 30's. "A" (she/her) is an policy extraordinaire who loves biking and checking out cool events around Austin. "L" (she/her) is a plant and animal lover who enjoys listening to podcasts and making crafts. "A" (he/him) is a mental health practitioner who loves meditating and fitness. We currently have one adorable cat, one foster bunny, and would consider adding another animal that can get along with the animals in the house. For dogs, must be on the smaller side ( 35 lbs). The house is kept very clean and is usually peaceful and quiet sometimes punctuated by dancing and singing in the kitchen. We're looking for one more roomie who is clean, responsible, considerate, a good communicator, kind, lighthearted, who can teach us new things, and most importantly someone who wants to be friends and not just an anonymous roomie. ** Important ** Sound like you'd be a good fit?
