    What's special

    Hemlock Run combines the best of historic house features with some cool contemporary spaces. The central portion of Hemlock Run, built around 1916, was moved to its brighter, current location in 2008. This core section was placed on steel beams over a new foundation, which created a generous amount of added living and storage space in the new walk-out basement. There's a new half bath, and a large laundry room. The utilities are tucked away but easily accessible, and there is a large, dry storage room. The flagstone patio is a delightfully sunny spot, with pretty landscaping along one sloped edge and above the gorgeous stone retaining wall. (There are numerous examples of eye-catching stonework around the property). This is the barbecue/cocktails/fire pit and probably coffee/local eggs/every meal spot, as long as the temps allow. The grounds extend to a brief clearing overlooking the patio, and then up into the woods. A one car garage with loft space sits on the other side of the house, just down from the old house site.
