My wife and I are leaving New Haven two months before the official end of our lease, and our kind landlord is happy to take a new tenant starting June 1st, for a fourteen-month lease (June 1st, 2022 - July 31st, 2023). They are not allowed. The landlord pays for water and sewer, and you pay for electricity, gas, and Wifi. There are washing and drying machines in the basement of the house, which is very convenient! The neighbors are wonderful as well. ...And just wait, it gets better! You even get a FREE parking space off the street! PLUS... it's a five-minute walk from the Yale School of the Environment, Marsh Botanic Gardens, and the Yale Health Center and Police Stations. There are food trucks down the street near Ingall's Rink on most days if you don't want to cook (but you should because this apartment has an ENORMOUS KITCHEN), and you are right next to the Farmington Canal Trail where you can go running, skating, biking, or walking. There is an indoor climbing gym just a couple minutes away too, and a good coffee shop as well. Or you can play tennis at Scantlebury park a block away. Or you can go skateboarding at the skate park nearby (wear a helmet and be safe!). Gosh what is there not to love about this place? And at a steal of a price too! And you also get a large storage space in the basement, if you have any large bulky items you don't want to put inside the house. There are bike racks in the back, but they are usually in use. We keep our bikes inside. This apartment has 1. One large main living/dining room area. We also use it as an office, and it's large enough for three tables, a big sofa, two armchairs, three bikes, and even some potted plants! 2. One bedroom, which is big enough for our queen-sized bed and then still has room for a desk and leaves plenty of room to walk around. 3. Three closets (one in the main room, and two in the bedroom.
