Our home is a 2400 sq ft home. Upstairs has 2 bedrooms, a formal dining room, living room complete with new bay window and gas fireplace. The kitchen is large and bright with lots of windows including a new garden window over the kitchen sink. There is a breakfast nook in the kitchen. The floor is linoleum. The flooring in the dining room and hallway is wood laminate. There is a lot of storage in the hall way upstairs behind enclosed cabinets. Downstairs there is a craft bar for things like scrapbooking, etc. There are 3 more bedrooms downstairs- 2 large and one small. There is a second fireplace and also a good sized family room and laundry room. We are currently renting out the lower level so the laundry area has been turned into a kitchenette and now includes oven, fridge, utility sink and dishwasher, as well as the washer and dryer. Neighborhood Description We are on a corner lot on Military Rd S. The home is set back off the street so there is not a lot of traffice noise. The windows have been updated to filter out a lot of the sound also. We have one family directly behind us. They have teenage boys that are very quiet and respectful The most noise you hear from them is out playing basketball in the driveway. Suprisingly enough for being on Military Rd it has been a relatively quiet area for the past 10 years. It has great access to all freeways, shopping mall (Southcenter), the airport is very close but we are not in the plane pathway so we don't get the noise from the airplanes. Safeway is a couple blocks from the house as well as Texaco. There are several close daycares, churches, parks and a community center. Our youngest children have been at McMicken Heights Elementary school and it has been a good year. We have no experience with the middle and high schools. We have enjoyed the neighborhood for the last 10 years but have outgrown the house (6 children - 2 with special needs).
