There is a mix of older families who have lived here a long time and young families with children. The house next door to this one was once owned by J.C. Penny's niece. In fact, she owned the entire subdivision prior to 1961 and before she subdivided it into housing lots she leased all of this land to Ohio State University for farming. When my family moved here in 1963, her house and our house were the only two on this side of the street.
