Portland craftsman with lots of natural light, built ins, storage and charm! On the main floor you'll find two bedrooms, an inviting kitchen with stainless steel appliances and a breakfast/work nook, a family/living room with built ins, a fireplace and bay windows, a comfortable dining room also with built ins and a bay window, a bonus room (could be an office or art room), leading out the the back yard, with a closet and storage drawers, a full bathroom with a bath-tub/shower, and a mudroom with a bench and storage, and lots of storage in the hallway. On the second floor you'll find two bedrooms and a bonus room (we used it as a bedroom but it does not have a closet) a full bathroom with a shower, and a little work or play nook around the top of the stairs (our kids used to sit there and read under the skylight). In the basement (which also has a separate entrance, you'll find the TV room, a game room, an office (the quietest room in the house), a laundry room, a work room, an empty storage room with shelves, a storage room with paint supplies and lots of space for your stuff. We have a fenced in back yard, and a patio area for outdoor eating and barbecues. We have a tree house in our front yard on Broadway, a zip line on 49th and a book lending library on 49th. There is street parking in front of the house for about three cars (the detached garage is our storage for tools etc..) We adore this home and the neighborhood. It is warm and inviting, and our neighbors are amazing. We still go to the block parties and come back and walk our dog in the neighborhood just so we can socialize with the wonderful folks on 49th. Our kids grew up here and we've enjoyed every minute! We will leave a list of names and numbers of the 49th neighbors in case you need any quick help, and you will be invited to the local gatherings. We are also just 10 minutes away and always available. Our home is centrally located. You can walk to many parks; Normandale, Frazier, Rose city Park and Grant Park (and pool). We are also just a short walk to Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, the Hollywood library the iconic Hollywood theater, Grant Pool, the Hollywood Saturday farmer's market and lots of great food carts (The Barley Pod, and the Sandy Food Carts) and cafes (The New Deal is great for breakfast). You can walk to the max station, and get to the airport or downtown quickly on the MAX or catch a bus at the end of our street on 49th and Halsey. We will come by and do some yard work occasionally, and will have soaker hoses set up on a timer during the hot summer months. If you enjoy gardening, let us know. We will provide trash pick up and internet, and you are responsible for the other utilities (water, electricity, gas, and filling the oil tank before winter...we will instruct you). No smoking in the home of any kind. Also, please be respectful of the neighbors as far as late night noise goes. The home is partially furnished which could facilitate a quick move in. At the viewing, you can let us know which, if any, furniture you'd like to use. We will start reviewing all applications on August 18th, in the order received, and will accept the first qualifying application. We are pretty handy and take care of most of the maintenance, and appreciate quick calls if anything is needed. We also like to check in every 3 to 6 months, to make sure no sneaky leaks are dripping under faucets etc...at your convenience.
