Their cost per SF to build a 2,000'ish SF above grade home with average+ finishes is about $130/SF. Now realize, that is THEIR cost. To build for a customer, they will add market up & fees to provide for their living of building homes. Just like any business & industry, how much mark up will vary greatly, but this will give you a place to start.  Estimated costs to finish ADU in Chaffee County: Tap Fee’s - $12,000 Crawl space foundation - $6,000 Finish work / materials - $7,000 Move building - $5,000 Total - $33,000 Average market cost to build per square foot - $147.50 $50,000 / 700 = $71.43 $83,000 /700 = $118.57per sq foot Still much lower than the average price per square foot, your saving almost $30 per square foot. $50,000 + $33,000= $83,000/700 = $118.57per square foot.  (Which includes the crawl space and tap fees, $18,000, which aren’t usually in costs/sq’.)
