This Victorian house was completely restored in 2010. Everything inside is new, including floors, walls, roofs, electrical, water, plumbing, all bathrooms, kitchen, kitchenette, stairs, fixtures, and hardware. Only the highest quality material and the best workmanship was used. I lived in this house for 2 years before I moved to NJ, and it has been rented since for $1,500/month. The house has 2 of everything; 2 HVAC systems; 2 water heaters; 2 natural gas meters; 2 independent electrical systems; 2 fireplaces; 2 hallways; 2 stairways; 2 roof sections. I and used high efficiency insulation everywhere, even between floors and interior walls. I used LVL engineered beams and the best quality lumber and plywood. All rooms are well finished with solid wood trim molding, and nice color coordinated paint. Each room has twice the number of outlets required by code, and has extensive wiring for data, alarms, multi media, and communications. There are many 3-way light switches. Nice light fixtures throughout. The floor is primarily 6 inch wide oak. Solid wood oak doors for all bedrooms, and pine doors for bathrooms. All double pane windows. First Level: The front entry leads straight to a curved stairways with 1870's oak balusters and railing, all original and fully restored. The entry area has 11 foot ceilings. The front living room has a fireplace, and leads into the dining room. The dining room also has a fireplace and a "servant" narrow stairway to the second level. The dining room is followed by the kitchen. The Kitchen: It has solid maple cabinets, garbage disposal, Kashmir granite countertops, stainless appliances, and ceramic floors. it has a door to the brick patio and a fenced garden. Outside: The patio is raised brick construction, the garden has many roses and perennials. All fenced in. The patio and garden are essentially maintenance free. Second Level: it has two master bedrooms, one on each side of the master stairway. The front master bedroom has a bathroom with frameless glass corner shower with ceramic floors, mosaic walls, and high end hardware. On the other side of the stairway is a a small hallway which leads to the back Master Bedroom, and the bathroom. The bathroom has ceramic floor, nice fixtures, and clawfoot bathtub. Very cozy and well lit. Third Level: It is completely independent with a living room-kitchenette area with a small sink, small fridge and kashmir granite countertops, a bedroom, and a bathroom with ceramic tile, clawfoot bathtub, and upscale fixtures. It feels like a separate space with plenty of light and space. The house is quiet due to extensive insulation and heavy construction. Plenty of parking. UMBC bus stop 1 minute away, and Downtown bus stop 2 minutes away. Bike to Inner Harbor in 10 minutes. BWI is 15 minutes away. Neighborhood Description Union Square is a historic district surrounding Union Square park. The best houses in the area surround the park, and extend a block around it. The neighborhood is well maintained by occupant owners. This area is easily accessible form I-95 and MLK Boulevard. It is located 1.5 miles from the Inner Harbor, and 15 minutes from BWI. The neighborhood association is very active, and holds several events each year. Union Square is within a mile of the University of Maryland Medical College, and the new Bio-Park.
