When you decide that you want to rent the apartment we will ask you to provide us with a copy of your complete
credit report (you can get it for free from creditkarma.com or many other places on line) also
a copy of your driver's license (or state issued ID) your social security card and your most
recent 3 pay check stubs. We dont require or use a standard rental App.
Move in will be the first month's rent and security deposit. Security deposit will be based on your
credit history and if you want us to supply a stove and fridge. If your credit and work history is
excellent, your deposit could be as low as $500. In some cases we will allow a portion
of the security deposit to be paid in installments or by hold check, if necessary.
As you will find elsewhere, due to the covid eviction moratorium for the majority of the last year and the probability
of another one due to the current covid surge (which looks likely) we are asking for larger deposits than
in the past, to enable people to have a place to live.
We have managed the property for about 6 years now, and made dramatic improvements
in residents, the apartments themselves, upgrading electric, plumbing, replacing doors and
windows, etc. We still have a ways to go and it is now a nice place with very nice people.
The residents are a close knit group of good people who look out for each other.
The apartments are immediately north of downtown Winston Salem on a major bus line, about two
thirds of one mile north of where they recently completed brand new apartments renting for 3 to 4 times
the rent we are charging.
If you want to reserve the apartment, we will ask you for a deposit to hold the apartment and
commit that you are taking it, and we will commit not to rent it to anyone else.
Whomever provides us with acceptable credit information necessary and a deposit first
will be the one to get the apartment.
