Freshly painted white walls.
Near the TTC.
Near the 401.
Soundproofing on point.
Bright.
You can rent this furnished or unfunished (currently furnished but I can take it out)
-INCLUDED : Hydro, internet, 1 parking spot underground
-2 minute walk to TTC subway (Yorkdale Station) or to Yorkdale mall
-About 30 minutes to commute on the TTC subway from Yorkdale to Union
-3 minute drive to the 401
-Move in day flexible
-Quiet and mature neighbours
-1 or 2 tenants welcome (just 1 bedroom though)
-10 minute walk to a grocery store and plaza (FitForLess gym, Canadian Tire etc.)
-Decently sound proof unit (you won't hear your neighbors)
-Pretty mid gym but it gets the job done and is being improved soon
-Bright with natural light (facing North, no direct sunlight but still super bright due to big windows)
-Good dryer + washer in unit
-Big balcony (not the most quiet outside though because of traffic sound from the Allen Rd highway)
-Can't smoke on your balcony (condo rule) so smokers need to go to the ground level and smoke outside (this includes if you smoke the devil's lettuce)
-Dishwasher included
-AC and heat works well (both recently repaired)
-Somewhat pet friendly. As per condo rules: limits on size and number of animals. Probably no animals if you rent furnished, but we can talk about it. I love animals I just don't want my furniture ripped up (cat with claws). No young dogs sorry (they chew the walls, I know from experience). I can't accept your dog if it barks excessively, sorry, I want my neighbours to keep liking me. I have a huge pet pen to give you if you want.
-1 parking included underground and protected by a VIP door
-Internet: 3000mpbs download and upload fiber with Bell (this means it is extraordinarily fast btw, gamer friendly)
-Locker included
-Bidet included (I am leaving this here out of principle, start using bidets people, it's disgusting)
-Flexible on the duration of the lease. Condo rules state minimum is 6 months.
-Size: 460 sqft small but mighty. I must stress this: it is small. Smaller than you think.
-Age of building: 2 years old, was recently painted so enjoy good looking walls
-Front desk is good during the week, super mid on the weekend but get the job done I guess
-Management is excellent
What I offer:
-respect
-fix things without arguing (I am not cheap).
-work with you to make things work
-I won't ever raise your rent after your lease is up if you want to stay. Tenants deserve a bit of financial stability too plus it's already expensive as is.
-I have been a tenant so I know how the struggle and I don't want to contribute towards this tenant vs landlord tension.
Ideal tenant for me:
-Pay rent,
-Don't break my walls,
-Don't cause problems with your neighbours (they are chill anyways, plus several units are empty I think),
-Don't disrespect management (he's chill).
-I would prefer you don't put nails my walls to hang things (I can provide stickers for photos and posters instead)
Normal wear and tear is fine, this is my responsibility. Smashed wall is not fine. Leave my walls alone, I really like them.
-I want my tenants to be happy. I would really prefer to rent to someone who will enjoy the place. It's possible that this place is not for you, we can talk about it.
-Impress your friends when you press the top floor (15) button no clue why this is supposed to be impressive but okay
-No agents please, I don't want to give you a full months rent for barely any work.
-This neighbourhood is a mix of two big condos, some single family homes, and government owned public housing. They are currently demolishing the government owned housing and are working to build new condos by 2035. This won't affect you, but if you stay long you might see this place change. It used to be called "the jungle" in the 60s. 40 years later it's chill, this is a peaceful and chill place so don't be scared. And welcome to the jungle.
-Some people ask if there are parks and tracks to go run at: no. There are very small parks to go sit at and chill, but they are small. If you want a large park, you will need to take the TTC north and go to Downsview park. There is an outside track not too far but you will still need to take the TTC to get there.
What I will require:
-job letter with employer phone number
-first and last months upfront
-credit score
-references from previous landlord
These are not absolutes, I can work with you if you can't provide some of these (like new immigrants or students).
Being completely transparent with you here so there are no surprises, here are the good and bad parts of this place:
Best parts about this place:
-Bright
-Soundproof inside: can't hear neighbours and you can make noise
-TTC is close
Bad parts about this place:
-Allen Rd (a highway) is right there and traffic is loud outside when you open the door. At night, you might hear traffic when you sleep. It's not loud, but it's there.
-The sound of Allen Rd (you can see a pattern here) comes through the kitchen and washroom vents. Meaning you can hear the cars going over the bridge inside your unit. It's not loud at all, but it's annoying.
-This is the top floor, so in the winter the heat from the other units go up. This means that your unit is always warm (not boiling hot, but warm). If you like it cold you will need to open the door (which means Allen Rd is waiting to attack your ears).
-The flooring is super mid. It was cheaply made. Some tiles don't fit well.
-The garbage chute is right near the unit, you hear it when people throw stuff down the chute (but it's rare).
-The underground parking garage door constantly breaks and needs to get fixed (I would say like once every 2 months, it's super annoying).
I am having unit viewings all throughout this week and will pause on Friday 11th to follow-up and request documentation from those who visited and are still interested. Feel free to contact me if you want come see the unit. I work from home therefore I am flexible on when you can come. Please be patient with me I am trying to get back to everyone as fast as I can. If you see this post, the condo is still available.
Message me for a video of the unit.
