Everything is impeccable with lots of natural light (15 windows total). Given that we remodeled the space ourselves from top to bottom, we are looking for a responsible couple or an individual who will take care of the house. This is a custom historic house in a very special setting. We have tons of trails and wilderness right outside the door. The area is peaceful and quiet. The house has very good Internet so fast connectivity to work remotely is not a problem. We prefer someone with mountain living experience who understands winters. We have strong winters typical of mountain Colorado towns. Our altitude is 9,250 ft of elevation, 4,000 ft higher than Boulder. Please have that in mind. Shoveling the snow on the deck and around the house and parking is necessary. A 10' by 10' storage shed is included. We are looking for people who are attentive to detail, organized and clean. We are located 20 miles west of Boulder. Your commute to Boulder will be of approximate 30 - 40 minutes via beautiful Left Hand Canyon Rd. Winter access is excellent via a double lane recently paved road. Given our strong winters, you will prefer an AWD vehicle to live here. We commute to Boulder daily as we run our business predominantly in Boulder. The house is located on 1 acres at 9,250 ft of elevation. Though 90% of us who live in this area of Boulder County work in the City of Boulder, this is not the City of Boulder. To live up here you need to love winter. By love, we mean love and adore snow. Our winters come with a lot of snow and outdoor recreation opportunities. The space comes with two primary heat sources; a pellet wood stove and a Jotul propane stove. It also has electric baseboard heaters in every room. All heating sources are excellent and in good working condition. Windows are energy efficient and newer. This is not a leaky house. The space is very quiet and its air circulation is very good. The space has a new washing machine and a new water heater. The house comes with a 150 sq ft deck. The deck is not fancy. It is functional and structurally sound. Depending on your Internet needs your Internet bill can be as low as $50/month or as high as $100/month. Check Nedernet for availability and pricing options. You will be responsible for Internet, wood pellets, propane, electricity, and driveway plowing. Trash and recycling are free if you are proactive and want to take care of your own waste management. The bathroom is newly remodeled with a stone shower, a five ft bathtub and an old style cast iron sink. Please know that our property is a drug-free environment. Cannabis in moderation only. If you are a tobacco smoker, the setup won't work for your needs. No other drugs aside from Cannabis will be allowed whatsoever. We require recent references from previous landlords, a background check that includes income check, first month's rent and a $2,000 deposit. We are more than happy to show the space in person and answer all pertinent questions then. We very much appreciate serious inquiries only.
