If you are interested in renting a house in Berkeley, this could be the place for you. Due to COVID concerns, we are doing virtual showings (Facetime/Zoom) only. It is totally detached and shares no walls with anyone, anywhere. In our yard we have many fruit trees including pears, apples, lemons, limes, and figs. We have an herb garden. We grow a lot of food in the back yard and spend a fair amount of time back there. You have your own entry way through a gated, lit driveway and then the house is short walk to the rear of the property up the paved driveway. It's clean and tidy. It has a good size kitchen with a gas stove, full size fridge, a living room, bedroom big enough for king size bed, and bathroom. There's a decent amount of fenced in yard space dedicated to the cottage itself as well as a nice rear deck and small front porch. If you like to garden the yard is basically a blank slate (current tenant doesn't garden). There's a small concrete pad where you can set up a table and chairs, and plenty of open space to grow vegetables or flowers. Up to you! There is newer bathroom tile in the shower, a small bathtub and solid bamboo floors throughout. It's a modern building. Gas stove, electric heat (but PGE gives you a discount on electricity because of it). Washer/Dryer in unit. The neighborhood is South Berkeley....so many bonuses it's crazy! Basically EVERYTHING is walkable from this location. The Berkeley Bowl(s) are each minutes away as is 80, 580 and 24. San Pablo Park is 3 blocks away and features tennis, baseball, basketball, and a dog park. We are looking to rent to people who are eco-friendly, environmentally minded, relatively quiet, and friendly. In the past we had dogs, and we intend to get another dog again some day. Because of this, outdoor cats are not an option. A dog is definitely an option for you. There is some ability for additional long term storage in our attic depending on what and how much. All utilities for the cottage are the tenants responsibility: gas, trash, water, electricity and internet/cable. First month's rent and security deposit due at signing. No smoking inside. To be considered for this unit please make sure your credit score is around 700, you make about three times the rent and no prior evictions and/or lawsuits with a landlord.
