    We may not be able to leave this home until our kids are grown! A rope swing, tire swing, zip-line, play fort, see-saw and other fun things to play on make it the gathering place for lots of friends. And we built all these things ourselves from (mostly) found materials. The house is a very typical floorplan for the neighborhood and while well-maintained, is nothing super special. However, the location can't be beat. Sitting on 3/4 of an acre with a large, fenced backyard and plenty of trees, its been a great house for our young family. We've redone the master bath, repainted the entire house, added attic space over the garage, replaced dishwasher, refrigerator/freezer, HVAC system, put decorative tile on the kitchen floor, refinished and put a runner on the steps and lots of other little things. I'll probably add some attic insulation and re-do the gutters soon. Neighborhood Description This is a very family friendly neighborhood located right outside the Perimeter. It is located just off Chamblee-Dunwoody Rd. The neighborhood statistics on Zillow are not correct. There are way more than 25% of the families with kids in this and the adjoining 4 neighborhoods. There is a women's club for these neighborhoods and it averages about 150 members each year. We have a huge (250+ people) Halloween party and parade each year with several other functions during the year. The neighborhood pool has a great swim-team program and weekly dinners during the summer. I would guess over 70% of the families have children. Home prices continue to appreciate in this area and the close-in location is ideal for commuting to the Perimeter mall area, Buckhead and downtown. There are 2 MARTA stops within 10 minutes and it is a reliable 40 minutes to the airport on the train. Many upgrades to houses and the teardowns for McMansions have only just begun. This neighborhood WILL be in the new city of Dunwoody.
