At time of application: Proof of income is required (see Rental Criteria for details) and a $45 background check fee and $350 execution deposit via, check or money order to: Jefferson Plaza Apartments. The application/background check process takes about 48 hours to complete. However, if rental references do not respond to the background company, it may take a bit longer.
Leases and Security Deposits: We offer 12 month leases only. No month to month or short term rentals. Security deposits are $500 or equal to one month rent maximum, depending on the background check results.
Utility: The utility fee at the Empire Apartments is $35.00 a month and includes: water, sewer, garbage and hot water. Power service and natural gas (the heating and stoves are natural gas powered) are set up directly by you. Pacific Power may be reached at 1-888-221-7070. And NW Natural may be reached at 503-226-4211.
Amenities: Conveniently located 6 blocks from Safeway, the Portland Art Museum, three blocks to the MAX, and all the best Portland has to offer. Bike racks are free of charge and located in the bike rack cage on the East Side of the building. There are two brand new washers and two brand new dryers for your use. These machines are card operated, no coin. And professional on site management service is provided by IPM.
Pet Policy: No pets allowed.
Internet and cable: All apartment homes are prewired for the service of your choice.
Public Transportation: Trimet Max train access 3 blocks from building. Portland Street Car stops 5 blocks away.
Parking: City owned 2 hour parking spaces are located on the South Side of the property. Parking garages and parking lots, not affiliated with the Jefferson Plaza Apartments are located near the building and throughout the Goose Hollow neighborhood and Financial District.
