Neighborhood Description Medifield Estates/Kingsbrooke has a reputation as a family oriented, secluded, heavily wooded neighborhood. The lots are large and the houses affordable. Many long time residents raised children here, focused social and family time at the pool and recreation area, swim team in the summers, etc. The location is awesome: 10 to 20 minutes to just about anywhere you want to go from RTP to north/south/central Raleigh. RBC Center and Fairgrounds are close but not a problem due to the seclusion of the neighborhood. Recently, more families have moved in with younger children. New houses have sprung up as well on lots that are served by new utilities. We've also enjoyed having to pay only county taxes in this neighborhood.
