Large 1 bedroom/1 bathroom apartment to yourself - reduced price for the remainder of the lease and no deposit necessary, it was paid in the beginning and you can stay with the deposit, use it to offset the last month's rent or whatever you choose to do. There will also be an option to go month to month at the end of November which I personally think is a good option to have. The apartment is centrally located to Scott Circle, Thomas Circle, think tanks, embassies, Dupont Circle, etc. You can even see the BLM plaza and the White House when you look down. The apartment building is perfectly located and near McPherson Square, Farragut, and Dupont stations. There is a Bluestone Lane coffee across the street, a Peet's coffee behind the building, a Starbucks and Blue Bottle Coffee one block over, and Whole Foods, CVS, and various restaurants in the same area, all close and within walking distance. The apartment is large; the bedroom is big with a large window. The living room is also big and you could even separate it into another bedroom to split the rent with someone else if you wanted to (I did this with my roommate). If you did this, I guarantee you, you will not find a better cost/benefit, especially considering the location. The furniture that is in the separate bedroom will be taken out but most of what is outside it can be left or taken out completely, it's up to you. There is also a very large walking closet next to the front door that you can use and there is a pantry that is between the bedroom and the bathroom. The apartment complex is newly renovated, has a gym area, a small internal grocery store, and a business area with a TV and room to hosts guests. It is safe and has someone in the concierge at all times. All utilities are included save for the internet which you have to set up in each apartment. However, there is wifi outside in the lobby and other areas. This really is a great apartment and centrally located. There are lots of professionals such as the World Bank or students who study/work nearby and live here. I think this is also a great apartment for those who are new to DC and want to be as close as possible to everything.
