This is the first residential neighborhood to the west of downtown Eugene. Tree lined streets with nice houses lead east to downtown, about 10 blocks away. Monroe Park, a nice and sociable block-sized city park, is 6 blocks east, with several nice shops and cafes including the great Sweet Life Patisserie nearby. A small organic grocery store is 5 blocks away, and other high quality groceries are available downtown. The neighborhood is a desirable one in Eugene because of the easy walking/biking access to downtown and the urban residential character of the area. It should continue to grow in value with the planned development around the downtown portion of West Broadway.
